Is it a weighing system?
Answer

No, TruckWeigh is an overload protection system which is accurate to within ±2.5% at between 90-100% of gross vehicle weight.

How often does it need to be calibrated?
Answer

Thanks to our patented "fit and forget" technology, TruckWeigh does not require any further recalibration unless there are any physical changes to the vehicle.

Can it connect to other on-board vehicle systems such as telematics?
Answer

Yes, it has an RS232 serial port for connecting to other systems such as vehicle telematics.

How long does it take to fit?
Answer

Depending on the number of axles and the type of vehicle it typically takes 4-8 hours to fit and calibrate.

Does it work on all types of suspension?
Answer

TruckWeigh is suitable for most supsension types including steel springs and most air suspension variants.

How many axles will the system work with?
Answer

TruckWeigh works on rigid vehicles with up to 4 axles and articulated vehicles on air suspension.

Is it possible to swap/interchange tractors and trailers?
Answer

It is possible to use up to 3 different trailers with each system, however, with our other product, TruckWeigh 1160, it is possible to an unlimited number of different trailers.

Will the system work for vehicle combinations with more than one trailer such as road trains?
Answer

TruckWeigh is designed to be used with rigid vehicles or articulated vehicles with a single trailer.  However, TruckWeigh 1160 works with an unlimited number of simultaneous trailers, making it ideal for large road trains.

What size of vehicle will TruckWeigh work on?
Answer

TruckWeigh is suitable for any vehicle with a gross weight up to 44T.

Does TruckWeigh work on waste vehicles?
Answer

Yes, TruckWeigh is suitable for any waste vehicle up to 44T gross weight and it has an optional key switch to disengage the packer plate when the vehicle reachs its maximum gross weight.
